Joint Statement

Burma, China, Tibet and Vietnam

We, the undersigned, representing the delegates from Burma, China, Tibet and Vietnam attending the Conference on Freedom and Solidarity in Warsaw Poland, express our common concern on the violations of human rights in our four countries.

We agree to issue this joint statement to call upon

  1. the military government in Burma to release without condition Ms. Aung San Suu Kyi and all detained monks and political prisoners and stop all types of oppression of the Burmese people; the Chinese government to stop supporting Burmese military government;

  2. all countries to boycott Olympic Games 2008, and pressure the Chinese government to stop oppressing and persecuting Falun Gong and all political and religious groups in China;

  3. the international community, especially EU and the United States to pressure Vietnamese Communist government to stop all political and religious oppression, and to release all political and religious prisoners;

  4. the international community to support struggle of the Tibetan people.

We call upon all the delegates of the Conference to support our demands expressed in this joint statement.
